Really great job! This is clearly something that's had a lot of thoughtful writing, time and quality put into it. I didn't feel like it was slow paced at all, the pace perfectly matched the tension and narration. I wasn't bored or disinterested through the whole of the eight minutes, which is impressive because that's a long time for an animated short.

Very nicely written, great atmosphere and has me eagerly waiting for Part 2. Best of luck with the Spooktacular!

I really like this. The frame rate is a bit hit and miss and there are certainly bits that could be cleaned up (animation twitches, a couple of black frames) but the characters are cute, and the idea is very good. Giving the moon personality was a good idea, and the story was generally fun and clear. Well done overall.

This is a really nicely made film. Simple story and concept, clearly told in two minutes. The animation has a little left to be desired but I find the character/environment models and textures stunning, even more so considering that this is a solo project! Well done, an easy 4/5.

I've actually just finished my own university animation course too, and know how tricky it is. So congratulations!

Cheers! Yeahh, I originally allowed myself double the time for animation, but procrastination early on in the project and rigging problems ended up halving the time I had! I'm glad you like the textures, it's one of my favourite aspects of the project to do!
What animation course did you study? I've just finished at DeMontfort in Leicester, England. :)

Simple, clever, random. I loved it! Can't say much more, just, good job on the idea and nice animation.

Loved it.

I don't know if I believe it, but I think that was great, the 15 minutes just flew by. Simple animation, I like the blue guy's design and all of the pictures were really good, not to mention the whole presentation was very interesting. The little part at the end was also brilliant. Well done, this is one of the few submissions I've seen that I've felt like reviewing, and I'll be looking out for your future submissions.

Not bad at all

Obviously there's a little issue with the canvas size, but it made me laugh.

JohnCamPro responds:

Thanks, and about that... I fixed it now. Yeah I was in a hurry to get it uploaded.

Really excellent

I don't usually think of sprites as a decent form of animation, there are so many amateur sprite animators out there, it sometimes seems like all sprite films are bad. I forgot how well it could be done though, like in this. It's really impressive and fun to watch, the mini game was a good feature, too.

I'll be honest.

There were a couple of pretty funny bits in there, but it really was less than I expected, especially after almost 2 years. What took away from the humour even more was the fact that I've seen most of those animations scattered around YouTube and DeviantArt already. I'm sorry, but most of the shorts didn't compare to the earlier volumes, and it's taken far to long to be released in my opinion.

LOL

Loved it, the art is great, as were the family guy references. I like the DA pictures too.

You're a sick person...

...but fortunately a very good animator. Well done.
